marauders-groupie:

Ginevra Weasley + The Second Wizarding War

During the early days of the war, Ginevra could do nothing but wait. She was too young, they said, too young to fight; but she knew she was also too old to sit around as her brothers fought in the trenches. Hogwarts was a far cry from safety; students emerged from classrooms with cuts and bruises rather than laughing. And even if she desperately tried to be the shining beacon of hope, joking around even when she’d had to scrub the floors because she dared to talk back, it seemed as though it was all in vain.

So she decided to fight back. No fear could stop her - if she knew anything, she knew pain, and it came as a bittersweet reminder to keep fighting. Keep fighting and keep surviving. The Dumbledore’s Army rose again, and they were too angry to falter. After all, those who have nothing to lose are the ones you should be terrified of.

the Sorting-Hat ‘The White Queen’ edition (request by anon)

Gryffindor - Elizabeth of York  //  The Gryffindor house emphasises the traits of courage as well as daring, nerve, fiery and its members are regarded as brave —sometimes to the point of recklessness. They can also be short-tempered, with no regard for rules and a desire for glory.
Hufflepuff - Jasper Tudor  //  The members of this house are known to be friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial. Hufflepuffs are not as competitive as the others, or are more modest about their accomplishments or talents, valuing hard work, patience, loyalty, and family.
Slytherin - Henry Tudor and Margaret Beaufort  //  Slytherins tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented with highly developed senses of self-preservation. This means that they tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done.

Dancing Queen by ABBA came out in August, 1976, which was just in time for Sirius’ seventeenth birthday, and if you don’t think Remus got the other Marauders to play it every possible chance to try and annoy Sirius, you’re wrong. If you don’t believe that Sirius loved every second of it, but pretended not to in public (because he’s punk, damn it), then, frankly, I have no idea what you’re even doing with your life.

895. Muggleborns wonder why there’s a large group of friendly, teenage ghosts around Hogwarts. They’re led by a funny boy with red hair who likes to joke around with Peeves, and he always says that they’re Dumbledore’s Last Army.

Fuck you
